Adolescent behavioral health programs
Our adolescent mental health program offers inpatient and outpatient treatment, on-site education resources, support services and aftercare. Our provides work closely with Corpus Christi Independent School District to provide assignments and resources that allow your child to maintain their education while receiving treatment at our facility.
We use a tiered reward program that helps your child acclimate to our program and learn our guidelines. We seek to positively reinforce appropriate behavior to avoid conflict. Our programs are designed to foster safe, secure spaces while minimizing potential triggers and stress. In this environment, true progress can occur.
Our counselors use a combination of cognitive, dialectical and solution-focused behavioral therapy techniques. All of these methods focus on helping your tween or teen understand and accept their emotions, and learn how to manage them.
Our nurses are available to provide medication education and to teach your child about the physical and mental impacts stress can have on their developing bodies.
As part of your adolescent's discharge plan, your family will participate in therapy sessions to learn strategies and tools to continue supporting their mental health at home. Inquiries about treatments or services are strictly confidential and can be made by professionals, family members, managed care companies or yourself. We accept direct referrals for initial assessment.
Our mental health programs have been recognized by The Joint Commission, demonstrating our providers' commitment to help your child become more resilient.
Inpatient treatment
Our programs include inpatient treatment for children and teens who need 24/7 monitoring. We provide crisis intervention and stabilization, giving them the support they need to transition into one of outpatient programs.
Outpatient treatment
If your teen does not require 24/7 monitoring for safety and crisis intervention, our outpatient programs can be a good path. We offer two types of outpatient care:
- Partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) — This daytime program occurs weekdays from 9:00am to 4:00pm and focuses on helping your teen develop long-lasting emotional regulation.
- Intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) — This program is offered three to five days a week for three hours a day. It is more flexible with work and school schedules, but is still more supportive than traditional weekly therapy.
Youth suicide prevention program
As part of our youth suicide prevention program, we have partnered with the Jason Foundation, Inc. (JFI), an educational organization dedicated to the awareness and prevention of youth suicide.
We use materials from JFI to create a comprehensive network of awareness among students, parents, teachers and youth workers, equipping them with the knowledge to recognize potential warning signs and effectively support at-risk youth.
If you or someone you know is thinking about suicide, dial 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or text HOME to 741741 to reach a trained mental health counselor.
