Corpus Christi Medical Center Names Lee Lopez as New Chief Financial Officer

Lee Lopez brings decades worth of experience in the medical field to his new role as CFO at Corpus Christi Medical Center.

Corpus Christi Medical Center (CCMC) announced the recent appointment of Lee Lopez as chief financial officer. Lopez assumed his new role on July 15, 2024, replacing CFO Hilda Dalfonso, who recently transferred to HCA Healthcare's Medical Center of Aurora in Colorado.

"Lee's previous experience as a healthcare executive and his proven leadership record will be an asset to Corpus Christi Medical Center as we continue to expand our operations and services to meet the growing healthcare needs of our community," said Mark Roberts, interim chief executive officer.

Lee brings 32 years of financial, operational, and business management experience in the healthcare field to the hospital. In 1991, he began his accounting career at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. Since then, Lee has served in various financial positions, including CFO, ACFO, and Senior Healthcare Consultant with Community Health Systems, Ernst & Young and Methodist Medical Center.

Most recently, Lee served as chief financial officer of Bon Secours Mercy Health, The Jewish Hospital Mercy Health, a 209-bed hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. There, he led financial activities including all aspects of hospital reimbursement and regulatory initiatives.

Lee received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from McMurry University in Abilene, Texas, and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from St. Leo University in San Antonio, Florida.
